Fat Transfer
This procedure is safe and has long lasting natural looking results. Fat transfer, also called fat grafting, fat injections, lipofilling or liposculpture, is performed by taking fat (liposuction) from areas in which the patient have excess fat and injecting it into areas where the patient may be lacking in volume (face, breasts, hands, buttocks). The overall procedure is relatively pain-free with minimal down time.
People with the following concerns usually undergo the fat transfer procedure for issues relating to the face:
- sunken cheeks,
- the disappearance of fat from the cheekbones,
- deep grooves running from the nose to the corners of the mouth,
- to revise scars and fill bodily depressions (following injury & scarring, skin conditions and ailments causing fat loss)
The goal is to help the patient achieve the most beautiful and natural-looking results using the patient’s own body cells, as well as to make the patient’s surgical experience as easy and comfortable as possible.

Recovery
Recovery is generally quick depending on the extent of liposuction and fat transfer. There will be swelling and discoloration post surgery which is normal, however this often diminishes within a week.
