Dermal Fillers

Facial fillers are “gel-like substances” injected under the skin to replace lost volume, fill up defects (dents, folds, and wrinkles), enhance facial features such as lips.

The treatment is performed in Dr Ngwenya’s office procedure room with the patient awake. Mild discomfort may be expected, however it is often short-lived, with results often seen immediately.

Non-Fillers generally last 9 -12 months, and would thus require topping up thereafter. The advantage of dermal fillers is its ability to add volume to skin, thus assisting to restore a “natural” youthful appearance in targeted areas such as the temples, cheeks, under eyes, jawline, mouth and chin region.

During the consultation with Dr Ngwenya, the patient’s specific requirements, target areas and goals are discussed in detail before dermal fillers are applied.
